Here at the North Toronto Institute of Music, we aim to cultivate the love and passion our students have for music in a welcoming environment while instilling a sense of discipline. Our elite school offers a high standard of music education where students develop their talents and acquire the necessary skills essential for mastering their instruments or voice. In our nurturing atmosphere, they shall receive personal attention from our teachers and gain comprehensive knowledge presented in our sequence of courses.
Founded in 1995, the Institute was based on my desire to create a welcoming and friendly environment for students to learn and grow. I also wished to acquire a Faculty team that consisted of highly qualified musicians to help raise music education standards within our wonderful community.
Today, the faculty is superb, and our facilities are fully-equipped. We always welcome students of all ages to enhance their knowledge while discovering and growing their love of music. Here, students can prepare for auditions, exams, and shall participate in student concerts twice per year. For our actively performing artist teachers, we also offer several concerts in which to illustrate their talents.
The North Toronto Institute of Music invites students to come and explore the world of music with us. Guided by our dedicated teachers, their full potentials shall be reached!

We moved our three kids to North Toronto Institute of Music and saw their piano playing improve by leaps and bounds. Mary Kenedi was able to capture their interest and help them move forward. Her own skill with the piano and knowledge about music and music history inspires them to explore and push themselves.The format of the recitals makes them enjoyable and the more advanced students inspire all of us. We are happy parents indeed.
